Tory! Tory! Tory! - Ep 1: Outsiders - BBC 2007 - mrs thatcher had guts Cameron is liar and is anti Christian what a sick lot
- Hayek was a vile supporter of fascism-see his disgusting comments about Pinochet.
- I like Friedrich Hayek <3
- They do use the word "free-market" a great deal. Either a market is free from government intervention, or it is not.
Britain: It is not, nor is it understood.
Perhaps Thatcher had a incline more than her peers as to what it might mean. But even if another Thatcher-type were to emerge today, the debt (ignoring deficit) is so large, they'd be better to declare Britain bankrupt (which it technically is) and start over.
- Excellent documentary, especially at the beginning with Hayek sitting at his desk while Hitler and his entourage seem to be actually walking to wards him. I read Hayek's book and, although his message was obvious, it was very long-winded. If you want to read an interesting  novel about the events  from 1945 - 1979 that brought Mrs Thatcher to power, I recommend Pro Bono Publico: The Rise and Rise of a Very Liberal Democracy by Emil Miller.
- " a man in a tweed suit could be as vicious as the Gestapo "
Oh we know ! We know !
And a madwoman in a twin set and pearls !
We've had nothing but since 1979.
Himmler would have blenched at ian Duncan smith and those of his stripe !
Hayecks " freedom " is the " freedom " to starve in ignorance, to die untreated.
The pig-class are hell bent on achieving this.
But not for themselves of course.
Its socialism for them.
And the lash of " market forces " for us !

- Oh yes, and the saint who brought all this about was the person who introduced battery farming to the UK. What a saint - It says something about him and the way he thought of people less well off than him in the same way he saw chickens!
- Congratulations at getting this far right shit into the realm of public discussion. This is the best ever recruiting forum for socialists - if there are any still alive apart from me - in the world. I have no doubt that my children and grandchildren will keep the idea alive that just because you are born with money you aren't entitled to power and influence. The people who have nothing and no hope of having anything far outnumber these pieces of shit in human skin.
- Don't want 600,000 immigrants a year from the third world to invade your country, you are insane.  Don't want the government to control your bank account and your business, you are insane.  Don't analyze his arguments just call him insane.  Fucking jews
- Looking at British History in the mid 60s and 70s , I can see the same trends in other developing countries in 2014.
- I take it that old cretin has never been unemployed. Also, the problem with charities and friendly societies is that do not possess the comprehensive reach of the state. As for the limit in taking money out of the country. There was, and is a very good reason for this. Speculation and capital flight will always prevent any government from running its own independent economic policy.
- Tory Tory Tory = Tora Tora Tora = surprise attack surprise attack surprise attack = the British people fucked!
- But Enoch had a point about immigration. Sounds harsh but true.
- Labour are the same though. They are supposed to protect the British working class, but they allowed uncontrolled immigration, which increases competition for low paid jobs, housing, schools and healthcare, and keeps wages depressed.
- Keith Joseph wasn't an "old Etonian"; he was a Harrovian.
- Truer words have never been spoken, good sir. Well said.
- Isn't there a contradiction in being for a 'free market' and yet opposing immigration (i.e. the free movement within the labour market without gov't restraints)?
- thanks for posting -- i really enjoyed this program but, when does the japanese fleet attack? is that in part 2?
- RIP :(
- Enoch Powell was right about the free market and immigration. Best PM Britain never had!
